아크네 페이퍼의 신간은 '상상 속의 가구, 예술, 오브제 컬렉션이 펼쳐지는 집'이라는 아이디어를 바탕으로 기획되었습니다. 현대 디자이너들의 가장 흥미로운 작품부터 장식 예술 역사 속의 상징적 작품, 초현실적 예술 오브제, 고대의 유물과 값을 매길 수 없는 명작까지 다양한 작품을 담고 있습니다.

상상의 집은 아홉 개의 방과 정원으로 구성되어 있습니다. 이는 아크네 페이퍼의 열 개의 챕터를 의미합니다. 각 챕터는 오늘날 가장 주목할 만한 이미지 전문가들의 사진 스토리와 함께, 예술, 디자인, 건축, 공연, 문학, 인테리어 분야의 뛰어난 인재들과의 대화를 다릅니다. 마치 뉴욕의 하우스 볼룸 문화나 세계적인 오페라 하우스의 무대 공연처럼, 아크네 페이퍼의 집에는 연극적인 요소가 가득합니다. 각각의 방에는 재능, 지식, 아이디어, 창조적인 교류가 넘쳐흐릅니다.

작가 소개: 종 린 (Zhong Lin)
말레이시아 사진작가 종 린은 흑백 필름으로 실험을 하며 사진을 독학하였고, 독특한 시각 언어로 명성을 얻었습니다. 그녀의 초현실적이며 때로는 불편하게 느껴지기도 하는 미적 감각은 세계적으로 유명한 매거진 에디터들, 패션 및 뷰티 브랜드들의 시선을 사로잡았으며, 그녀의 강렬한 이미지는 국제적으로 소개되고 있습니다.

총 린의 작품은 몽환적이고 아름답지만, 동시에 불안한 혼돈의 상태에 대해 이야기하기도 합니다.
그녀의 다양한 양육 배경은 그녀의 작품에 깊은 영향을 주었습니다. 영국에서 교육받은 아버지와 중국에서 교육받은 어머니의 슬하에서, 그녀는 할리우드 영화, 일본 만화, 인도 음악을 포함한 다양한 종류의 음식, 예술, 영화, 음악에 노출되며 자랐습니다. 이러한 예술 언어들이 합쳐져 그녀의 작품에 중요한 각인을 남겼습니다.

Acne Paper Issue 18
The new issue of Acne Paper is created around the idea of a house with a fantasy collection of furniture, art and objects: from the most interesting pieces by contemporary designers, to iconic items in the history of decorative arts, from surreal objets d'art, to ancient antiques and invaluable masterworks. The house has nine rooms and a garden: ten chapters, each of which features a photographic story by some of the most exciting image makers of today and conversations with remarkable people from the world of art, design, architecture, performance, literature and interiors. Not unlike the ballroom scene of the houses of New York and the stage performances of the opera houses of the world, there is a great sense of theatre under Acne Paper's roof: each room of the house is brimming with talent, knowledge, ideas and creative exchange.

About Zhong Lin
The self-taught Malaysian photographer Zhong Lin began her career by experimenting with black-and-white film and became known for her idiosyncratic visual language. Hervibrant images have now been showcased worldwide as the photographer's surreal and sometimes disquieting aesthetic caught the discerning eye of international magazine editors and major fashion and beauty brands.
Zhong's work is dreamlike and splendid, but it can also be unsettling and chaotic. Her diverse upbringing has inspired her work deeply. Raised by an English-educated father and a Chinese-educated mother, she grew up being exposed to an array of different kinds of food, art, film, and music including Hollywood movies, Japanese manga comics, and Indian music.
All these different artistic languages have had a significant imprint on her work where all her influences merge together.
